Dr. Jamil Asaria, BSc, MD, is the founder of Face Cosmetic Surgery in Toronto. He received his education at the University of Toronto’s medical school and completed a facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Asaria is the recipient of the Jack. R. Andersen Award and the surgical consultant to the Toronto Raptors basketball team. Dr. Asaria serves as the Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto in the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also holds the position of Chief Examiner in Facial Plastic Surgery for residents in Head and Neck Surgery at the university. Moreover, Dr. Asaria is an Invited Proctor for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

I recently underwent rhinoplasty under the I recently underwent rhinoplasty under the most capable hands of Dr. Asaria. From the moment I started I felt comfortable and felt that I could trust him with my face. During my pre-op appointment Dr. Asaria and his team explained everything in great detail and listened to all of my concerns. They were gracious about addressing my most nit-picky detailed questions. Not only was Dr. Asaria very pleasant and courteous, but also the entire staff was very helpful in alleviating all my concerns and calming my nerves. They were very easy to contact and happy to help. There was always someone to contact for post surgery care (if you follow the instructions, the results are great). The work he did is amazing, it really suits my face and very natural looking. The scars are barely noticeable (I have very fair skin and scar easily). I'm very happy with the results! on a scale of 1-10, I give a 20! of Dr. Asaria. From the moment I called the office for a consultation, to a year post-surgery, Dr. Asaria and his team had been nothing short of outstanding. I had been contemplating rhinoplasty surgery for about 10 years, when I finally got the nerve to go ahead with it - I was extremely nervous about going under the knife. I called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was very enthusiastic and helpful. She did explain that there is a $200 consultation fee, which could be used towards my surgery. Every surgeon charges a consultation fee, so this was not a surprise. During my consultation, Dr. Asaria did not rush me in any way. I must have had a hundred questions, and they were all answered thoroughly. I booked my surgery that day. On day of the surgery, Dr. Asaria and his team were so professional and caring, as it was clear that my nerves were getting the better of me. I was made to feel extremely comfortable and I knew I was in good hands. After surgery, Dr. Asaria and the nurse were there to ensure I was comfortable before being sent home. A follow up call that evening, as well as the day after was made to ensure I was ok. To keep this short, this level of care was kept up throughout the year during follow up visits so that the Dr. could make sure I was healing as expected and had no concerns. All in all, I felt virtually no pain after surgery - I did not even have to take pain killers. My nose healed beautifully, and I couldn't be happier. Be reminded that the healing process takes time. Mine took over a year to see the final results, but Dr. Asaria did the most incredible job! My nose looks natural, but just an improved version of my original nose. I can't thank him enough! Would definitely recommend!
